Manila Machinery and Supply Co., Inc. was one of the few pioneering trading houses in the Philippines. It was established in 1926 by American Businessmen. The company initially served the equipment needs of the mining industry. Since then, the company has gone beyond its initial market.

In 1957, the Sarmiento family, imbued with its entrepreneurial spirit, which has made them prominent in the logging, wood and poultry industries; bought the company from its foreign owners. Thus Manila Machinery became the start of the highly successful Sarmiento Group of Companies. Under Filipino ownership and management, the company soared to greater heights.

Manila Machinery became known for its traditional integrity and reliability. It has the opportunity to supply the Philippine market with the best products in the world. These include Toledo Scales, Taylor Instruments, Joy Air Compressors, AP Green Refractories and Bobcat Speed Loaders. MSA Mining Equipment, Ametek Instruments and Emco Flow Meters are among the products it has represented in the country.

In 1991 the business unit of Manila Machinery responsible for the marketing of weights and measurement products was spun off to a separate company named Weighmaster Corporation. Weighmaster Corp was a highly successful business organization all throughout its ten years of operation. It boasted highly prestigious brand names in its product portfolio, Mettler Toledo scales, Haenni Wheel loader, Measurement System International Scale Systems, and other well-accepted instruments in the market.

Through almost seven decades of existence, Manila Machinery has undergone several changes to adapt to the ever-changing business environment in the country. The company now known as M2 Ventures International, Inc. has reorganized itself and has chosen to focus on businesses where it can provide its market with the best products and services.
